Have a great time out there. Be sure to check out the countryside. Point Reyes is very cool.

It is very similar to the Glens falls civic center. General admission up front like a gym kinda with seats around the edges. I don't recall the taper section. But you probably want to be in the first or second level seats because the GE area gets packed. Sound is really good everywhere in the venue when the sound techs know their stuff. Besides the Joint in Vegas my second favorite venue I have seen Furthur at.(Don't like paying extra for GE:Greek, Santa Barbara bowl. Outside the venue is a park with a bunch of artwork and such.

The Henry J. Kaiser is a wonderful venue! Saw the band there for New Years 81/82 and 82/83. It's compact and crowded, but that only adds to the experience! I'm dying of envy, wish I could be there!

Kaiser is Oakland; Bill Graham Civic (formerly SF Civic) is in SF. Had good times in both venues, but Kaiser is a bit cozier, while Civic offers more space and more fun in surrounding environs...

This is where you will start to get a bunch of people chiming in on how they won't waste their time listening to this shell of a band.

I'm only chiming in so they don't rain on your parade. Have fun! I always appreciated peoples efforts taping. I could never hang with that level of responsibility at a show

Ive never been to the west coast either! i made it to las vegas for the 2005 vegoose festival and that is it... i cant wait.

furthur is on fiya IMO. it took a couple of years. phil is getting up there in age along with bobby. so it was a no brainer to me i had to do a dead related NYE. ive been doing melvin seals and jgb runs here in denver at quixotes these past years. and with the rumors going around that phil is calling it quits after this year and just made sense
